BRIDGEPORT, Conn. (AP) - Alexei Yashin had a goal and assist for the second straight night, and Rick DiPietro was perfect in a cameo appearance in his old stomping grounds as the New York Islanders finished the exhibition schedule with a 3-0 victory over the New Jersey Devils on Saturday.

Yashin, who contributed on both goals Friday in a 2-1 home win against the New York Rangers, did the trick again. He needed only a span of 2:26 to pull it off this time.

The Islanders' captain deflected a shot from defenceman Tom Poti past goalie Martin Brodeur at 2:32, just 1:11 into a power play. Yashin then ripped a shot from the left-wing side that Brodeur stopped, but Miroslav Satan charged in for the in-close rebound and made it 2-0 4:58 after the opening faceoff.
