Just thought I'd make this thread for the year because their have already been two such fights where the studs have decided to go at it.

I always like to see the stars go at it. Enforcers are nice and everything but when the stars fight their own battles I think the game has more integrity.

Iggy and LeCavalier in the 2004 finals has to be my favorite because of the calibre of both players and the fact it was during the finals.

The Funniest one would have to be Savard v. Leeman. I don't know if they ever got within 5' of each other, but they skated almost half the rink.

Semin's slapfest was good too.

Datsyuk definitely surprises me the most out of those two fights. I would like to see Richards get in a scarp very soon. The offense,including maybe him the most, need to wake up.

That Datsyuk fight was awesome. Perry has been talking sh*t about owning Datsyuk for how long and he doesn't even win an even fight against the smaller guy? That's awesome. I always remember seeing videos that have Perry just talking about killing Datsyuk or telling Zetterberg to tell Datysuk he was gonna kill him. And he barely lands a punch - awesome.

Found one of the videos. He says you're gonna get it, not I'm gonna kill you. Regardless he was running his mouth like an idiot.

LOL, listen to how crazy the Detroit fans are going when Datsyuk is fighting. They must've loved to see that.

As a Hawks fan, I have to admit that I have a lot of love for Detroit. I have been to Joe Louis before to watch the Hawks play Detroit on two occassions and both times it was awesome.

Crosby and Niskanen went last night. I know Niskanen is no star, but Sid sure as hell is. By far the best I've seen from Crosby in a fight, but until I see him actually take his helmet off and square up and throw some real punches I won't consider him a good fighter. Not that he needs to be seen as that, I'm just tired of hearing how good he is when he really is sub par.

He's never going to be a good fighter. Same look as his previous fights, keep janking hard on the jersey to try to keep the other guy off balance, toss wild punches. Pens fans don't want him go be either, because that just would take him off the ice.

This wasn't about anything between the two at all, it was about trying to fire the team up. Morrow went after Letang just before this, who has an injured right hand and couldn't even throw punches to protect himself(why Letang even dropped the gloves in the first place I'll never know).

Ovechkin vs Dubinsky

I didn't watch the game tonight but the Caps lost 7-0 and at the time it was 4-0. Solid hip check but a pretty uneventful fight. Ovi obviously can't punch with his left hand and had the right tied up pretty early. Dubinsky gets the win in my book, pretty uneventful but I thought I'd post it. solid hip check by Ovi though. here's the link.

Pretty uneventful. Phaneuf goes straight to the bear hug, but Kovy really looked like he wanted to go. If they were to just square up and fight I think it would have been a lot better. Here's a link
