Minnesota-Duluth sophomore forward Raymond Mason was named WCHA co-offensive player of the week after leading the Bulldogs to their first conference sweep in two years. Mason, who is a Vancouver Canucks draft pick, assisted on a short-handed goal in a 2-1 win over Michigan Tech on Jan. 5 before scoring the game-winner and adding an assist in a 5-3 victory over the Huskies on Jan. 6.
Colorado College senior goaltender Matt Zaba of Yorktown, B.C., made 28 saves in a 2-0 shutout victory over North Dakota on Jan. 5 and 32 saves in a 2-1 loss to the Fighting Sioux on Jan. 6.
