LONG BEACH, Calif. (CP) - Wes Goldie scored three goals and added an assist as the Victoria Salmon Kings earned a come-from-behind 6-4 victory over his brother's Long Beach Ice Dogs in ECHL play on Wednesday night.
It was an all-Goldie first period as younger brother Ash scored a shorthanded goal for Long Beach before Wes replied with two on the power play as Victoria led 2-1 at the first intermission.
David Walker, Terry Harrison and Donald Johnson gave Long Beach (9-18-0-2) a 4-3 advantage after 40 minutes. Darryl Lloyd had the goal for the Salmon Kings (12-18-0-1).
Wes completed the hat trick to tie the game early in the final period and Matt Kelly scored the winner on the power play at 9:16. Kiel McLeod - who had three assists in the match - added a shorthanded goal with 5:32 remaining.
Salmon Kings goalie Julien Ellis blocked 31 shots to even his season record at 10-10, while Brett Jaeger made 23 saves for Long Beach.
Victoria scored three times on seven power-play chances and the Ice Dogs converted one-of-eight opportunities.
