Remparts 6, Foreurs 3

Ruslan Bashkirov and the Quebec Remparts certainly saved their best for last Wednesday night.

Bashkirov had three goals and an assist as the Remparts scored three times in the second and two more in the third en route to a 6-3 win over the Val-d'Or Foreurs in Quebec Major Junior Hockey League action.

Bashkirov scored twice in the second and another in the third th anchor the five-goal outburst that erased a 2-1 deficit for the Remparts(29-20-2-3).

At Quebec City, Andrew Andricopoulos, Angelo Esposito and Brent Aubin had the other goals for the Remparts. Kevin Desfosses stopped 29 shots.

Simon Bolduc, Maxime Levesque and Jerome Samson replied for Val-d'Or (32-17-2-2). Jeremy Duchesne made 30 saves.

Rocket 4, Wildcats 1

At Charlottetown, David Laliberte scored twice to lead the Rocket (26-18-2-5). Chris Doyle and Chad Locke had the others. Matt Eagles countered for Moncton (33-18-1-2).

Mooseheads 5, Titan 3

At Bathurst, N.B., Logan MacMillan had a goal and an assist for Halifax (23-25-3-2). Garrett Peters, Ryan Hillier, Peter James and Bryce Swan also scored. Charles Bergeron, with two, and Samuel Grenache scored for the Titan (27-21-1-2).

Maineiacs 7, Sea Dogs 2

At Lewiston, Me., Eric Castonguay, David Perron and Marc-Andre Crete all had two goals to lead the Maineiacs (34-11-2-4). David Perron had the other. Alex Grant and Francois Gauthier scored for Saint John (14-32-1-2).
