Mooseheads 5, Sea Dogs 3

Ryan Hillier and Bryce Swan took care of the Saint John Sea Dogs on Wednesday night.

Hillier and Swan scored two goals each to lead the Halifax Mooseheads past Saint John 5-3 in QMJHL action.

At Halifax, Colby Pridham had the other goal for the Mooseheads (17-17-3-1) while Jeremy Duchesne stopped 23 shots.

Jonathan Laberge, Brett Gallant and Shayne Tremblay replied for the Sea Dogs (10-24-1-1).

Rocket 4, Titan 3

At Charlottetown, Marc-Andre Gragnani had a goal and an assist to lead the Rocket. Geoff Walker, Brett Morrison and Chris Doyle - whose short-handed goal 4:04 into the third period proved to be the winner - also scored for P.E.I. (18-14-1-4).

Thomas Beauregard, Charles Bergeron and Jordan Clendenning replied for Acadie-Bathurst (23-13-1-1).

Wildcats 4, Maineiacs 2

At Lewiston, Me., Matt Eagles had two goals as Moncton scored all of its goals in the first period. Murdock MacLellan and Phil Mangan had the other goals for the Wildcats (25-13-0-1), which moved to within four points of the first-place Maineiacs.

David Perron and Pierre-Luc Faubert scored for Lewiston (26-8-0-3).

Remparts 5, Drakkar 4

At Quebec City, Angelo Esposito scored twice in a four-goal first to power the Remparts (23-16-0-1). Brent Aubin, Benjamin Rubin and Felix Petit had the other goals.

Marc-Andre Dorion had two goals for the Drakkar (19-13-1-5). Joakim Jensen and Olivier Donais also scored.

Tigres 4, Sagueneens 3

At Victoriaville, Que., Benoit Doucet had a goal and an assist for the Tigres (20-16-1-0). Kyle McNeil, Morten Madsen and Adam Ross also scored.

Jean-Philippe Roy-Vallieres, Francis Verreault-Paul and Antoine Roussel countered for Chicoutimi (17-18-4-1).

Voltigeurs 5, Huskies 4

At Drummondville, Que., Steven Cacciotti's goal at 12:37 of the third was the winner for the Voltigeurs (17-18-0-3). Tomas Zohorna, Alexandre Demers, Corey Garland and Scott Howes also scored.

Yannick Riendeau, Jean-Sebastien Berube, Jeff Desjardins and Michael Dubuc had the goals for Rouyn-Noranda (20-15-2-3).

Cataractes 6, Oceanic 5

At Rimouski, Que., Patrick Bernier's goal at 10:47 of the third gave Shawinigan (16-16-2-3) the victory. Steve Bellefleur, Pierre-Alexandre Vandal, Sean Smyth, Danick Bouchard and Anton Manson recorded the other goals.

Olivier Fortier scored twice for the Oceanic (7-25-4-1). Emmanuel Boudreau, David Bouchard and Maxime Tanguay had the other goals.

Olympiques 5, Foreurs 3

At Gatineau, Que., Glaude Giroux scored twice to lead the Olympiques (22-13-2-2). Martin Frechette, Darryl Smith and Paul Byron also had goals.

Maxime Lincourt, Jerome Samson and Mathieu Roy replied for Val-d'Or (23-12-2-1).
