Not really. Joe usually goes on a scoring streak towards the end of the year. Its the playoffs when teams coaches devise systems to neutralize him.
Last year he had 12 points in the last 15 games. Which admittedly was weaker.
The year before, he had 22 points in his last 20 games.
The year before that he had 27 points in his last 20 games.
The year before that, he had 33 points in his last 20 games, and 39 points in his last 23 games.
But yes, the top line seems to be lacking right now in SJ
I hope/think the team is just being complacent right now waiting for the playoffs to start. I can't imagine they are overly motivated to have another great regular season. It's all about the playoffs for this team.
