Still want to take my bet hckyputz????? Bring it on dude. The wings will overcome the talenless traps the inferiors will bring on every series. Edmonton has no chance unless they come to play. That waiting around for a mistake isn't going to work. We have four lines. Most teams have two tops. Some only one. HOCKEYTOWN is still the premier hockey symbol of the universe. Sorry hab nots. Your government screwed your chances of ever regaining the title. Socialism rocks. It work for the soviets. LOL. They went broke.

LOL there is so much love here!!!
so what! a win is a win... nothing more nothing less!
LOL i dont believe in luck!!! the only luck i believe in is the luck of the irish :D
Who cares if its 'luck'. Its a win. If the Oilers won this game you would be taking a different stance on this game.

After reg, it's luck.

With all those shots the wings had????? Please. Outshot them by 30 shots. That's dispicable. Like comparing a pro team with a junior team. Edmonton played that stupid boring we have no talent trap game and they lost. Good bye.
LOL perfectly said!
Ahh, yes but see, I got 4 replys from that statement.:cheeky4:
Uh oh!!!

Oops! Someone forgot to tell the Oilers of the master script, that the Wings would win 4 straight. I guess right about now, FCP is drowning his sorrows in Corona's, and Wingnut is having a nervous breakdown.

But don't fret guys, hey, it's just one game! Just like after game one, it was just one game.

Looks like an upset in the making?? Let's all hope! Dare would guess Oilers in 6? Wings should win this series, but I will still go by what I stated earlier, that the Oilers will scare the daylights out of the Wings. It's all part of the 'masterplan' of seeing the Wings gone after round 2.

You read it here first!

Oh, and FCP, how do you want to structure that wager? How much are you willing to lose, er....bet? Name your price, and the basis of the wager, and we'll set something up, I promise! :cheeky4: :D

Lastly, there was a news report this afternoon coming out of Detroit, where, apparently, there has been a huge run on kleenex at all the local stores. It has got so desperate, that the prices of kleenex have spiked, with some selling little packages on street corners for over $10 per box. I wonder why this is happening??:D

Wings

The problem with detroit is the teams age. there are alot of older players on the team.and considering how they played the last 2 games i would not be suprised to see detroit come back home for game 5 down 3-1 in the series.
LOL so what :cheeky:
Neutral zone trap crap

The problem is the neutral zone trap. After Jersey, Anaheim, and Calgary; you think Detroit would have had it figured out by now. It's not over yet but the wings are going to have to start getting physical. Again Yzerman line was the best out there. I said Detroit in 6 hckyfck and it will be. All the talented teams like Detroit, Rangers, Carolina, and Ottawa will struggle against this playoff only neutral zone trap strategy. Of course if the wings win they will have to play even bigger no talent neutral zone teams like Anaheim or Calgary. Then of course the originators of the clutch and grab the New Jersey Devil worshippers. This could end up being the most boring Stanley Cup ever because of this dull boring strategy. Looks like Detroit needs to save the NHL and go all the way and defeat these no talents.
You've lost a little of the Michigan swagger, FCP. I suppose reality will eventually do that to you.

The neutral zone trapping is all gone now, with the new rules in effect from the league. The big part of the trap was clutching and grabbing, but if a team plays that way, expect a stampede to the penalty box. In short, your team should spend the better part of the game on the power play. I see you are already using excuse number 68 (blame the NZT). I can't wait to read your other excuses as your grey beard Red Wings limp out the door, after having their asses severly kicked.

You know very little about the Ducks, they play a full out, offensive type game built on speed. Led by soon to be Norris winner, Neidermeyer (yes, the award given for the BEST DEFENSEMEN-understand that lugnut...er wingnut!) and with their speedy forwards, they're a team to be taken seriously. The Sharks are just the same.

Oh, one other thing FCP, try to cut back on the hooch, you're making too many typo's in your posts, which I attribute to excessive alcohol comsuption. My moniker is Hkyfn, not Hckyfck. :cheeky4:

Ya, Lidstrom is definitely a Norris candidate, it should go to him. I never said that the Sharks and Ducks weren't good teams, I actually like them both.

Stop flaming, and make intelligent posts. I might actually start taking you seriously then.

I actually had the Wings winning in 6, so its not really a surprise to me that they lost this game.... http://www.hockeyforums.com/showthread.php?t=18235

The Wings lost by 2 with one being an EN, thats not exactly getting their butt kicked.

I fully expect the Wings to rebound with a better game then they played today. Honestly, they really looked bad today, and they didn't deserve to win.

Whatever hkyfn.Anaheim played right into Calgary's trap. Calgary scored very few goals all year. That's defensive hockey. Even with Inguana Calgary hasn't produced much goal wise. Kiprsawedoff is the difference. It just makes make me sick that the playoffs are worlds apart from the regular season. The Redwings are old but Steve Yzerman is playing like a champ. Heart and Soul. Maybe the rest of the Redwings should take notice. And the fact that North Americans still play better than Europeans come playoff time. The first round is the toughest. Detroit, Ottawa, Dallas, and Carolina have their backs against the wall but it's still early. We'll see what every team is made of in the next week. Detroit hasn't won yet but they are definitely not done. We take one in Edmonton and it's a series. By the way the wings should have received a penalty shot on a thrown stick. That's O.K. Edmonton deserved to win and I'll concede that but the series is still young. That's what the playoffs are all about. One game at a time. By the way are you like a wine sipper since you make fun of my corona's? I know the famous califreaksareus superficial pretentious phony shallow egotistical calls for wine sipping because that is "so cool". Still legends in your own minds.

hmm, seems like(hkyfn) hes being a wind bag

hmm.. the plot thickens.. should i call the police, probie? or am i going to be referee?

but in all reality i agree with you,FCP, and some of the others.. that empty netter just sealed the fate..

i also agree, wings in six! the boys need to take this team more serious.... and yes, the wings should have gotten a penalty shot on that thrown stick.. i dont get why they didnt call that!

LOL.. yep, i know a guy from cali.. other than hkyfn.. and well they are wino's.

back to the issue at hand.

I wouldnt count any of the big teams out just yet.. and let me tell ya, the wings always alot of times, lose the second game.. one game.. proves ziltch! all that proves is their game wasnt strong..

now if they lose the series (which i doubt ) then you (hkyfn) can jump down everyones throats bragging who was right and wrong, but until then hkyfn, your just being a windbag.. go blow some air up someone else's skirt.. you love to keep things started dont you? with me and everyone else around here  ..yikes..

hmm.. some cali people just dunno the value of a good hockey club... man, fans that have great hockey values are hard to find now a days :p
