TORONTO (CP) - Victoriaville Tigres forward Benoit Doucet was named Canadian Hockey League player of the week Thursday after recording 11 points in three games last week.

Doucet, a 20-year-old native of Longueuil, Que., had seven goals and four assists to help the Tigres to three straight victories. He's eighth in the Quebec Major Junior Hockey League scoring race with 74 points in 45 games.

Sergei Kostitsyn of the London Knights was the Ontario Hockey League nominee and Chris Stevens of the Medicine Hat Tigers was the Western Hockey League nominee.

Kostitsyn recorded 10 points (3-7) in three games while Stevens had six points (2-4) in three games.

Taylor Dakers of the Kootenay Ice was named CHL goaltender of the week. He won all three of his starts, recording two shutouts, a 0.67 goals-against average and .977 save percentage.
