KITCHENER, Ont. (CP) - The Guelph Storm only mustered one shot in the second period of their 8-1 Ontario Hockey League loss to the Kitchener Rangers Tuesday.

The Rangers got two goals from both Victor Oreskovich and Kevin Henderson. Tim Priamo, Brian Soso, Yannick Weber and Adam Zamec also scored for Kitchener. The Rangers have been mediocre at home overall and marvellous in the road with eight wins and only two regulation losses in 12 away games. Yves Bastien scored for the Storm.

The Storm were outshot 17-1.

The Rangers outshot the Storm 8-2 in the first eight minutes last night but Guelph got the opening goal at 4:22.

Priamo deflected a Jamie Arniel pass between the legs of John Murray on a Storm power play. Storm rookie netminder Thomas McCollum made 13 saves in the first period. Murray had 10 stops.

In the second, overage Ranger forwards Oreskovich and Henderson both broke out of slumps.

Oreskovich deflected in his first goal in eight games this November to tie it 1-1. Henderson got his first in seven games by finishing up on a loose puck after McCollum thwarted him on a power-play breakaway.

Early in the third, Rangers tough guy Soso snuck a low-wrister past McCollum to make it 3-1. Soso had gone nine games without a goal.
