Luongo slid too much causing two goals in the shootout that were saves into goals!2-1 Blackhawks in a shootout, positive is that Daniel scores in a shootout,it was nice indeed. Keslers was good too,Toews had Luongo beat, and the other two Luongo had until he over moved his position and eventually they scored!

Looking forward to tonight's game @ Toronto.

Pretty sad that the call up of Kadri is bigger news than the fact the Canucks are 9-4-4 and playing some outstanding hockey these days. Wonder's with the Canadian media just never cease. :n

Hope to see Hamhuis settle in a little more. And I also hope to see Burrow's score again. It would be really good to see him get a real streak going right away.

I wonder if Parent slots in any time soon? I've liked his game and think he's got a ton of upside. Alberts looks a little worn out and could use a night off IMO. Not as a punishment thing, just as a rest thing. Similar to the position the team took with Ballard.

I've liked the third line a lot these days, I mean who couldn't. And the second line is coming along. Kesler needs to continue to drive the net, frankly that entire line could play a collapse to the net kind of game and really become a threat.

Bliznak being called up is interesting to me. I suspect it's a showcase thing. Could MG be working on something? Perhaps a bigger deal including Bieksa? Who needs a 3.5 million dollar D man and a solid prospect? And what do we need in return? High picks IMO. You gotta think something will happen before the deadline (or sooner) as the return of Salo will cause some havoc with the salary cap. And unless there is a huge trade I can't see MG wanting salary in return. To me it should be all about 1st round picks. Hell I'd be happy if MG packaged Bieksa and Bliznak for a 1st, 2nd and a 3rd. something along those lines. Wait and see. I could see Toronto being interested. Yes, they're stacked on D but Burke doesn't always make the obvious moves and you can never have enough D men as the Leafs are learning with Dion P going down. And Center's. That team is desperate for centers. Bliznak fits the direction of that team's needs and it's youth up front.

you never know.

Enjoy the game

Sabres win in overtime thanks to Myers turnover and goal! good game. But Bruins won against New Jersey tonight 3-0 so even if Sabres get a point next game they'll be in 8th. Tampa has to keep up the poor play for this to occur, but anyway....Let's Go Buffalo!

A rare visit to the Pens. Let's hope Malkin doesn't try and decapitate another one of our D men!

I think it's pretty simple. Plan our game for 60 mins = win. Screw around half the night finding it = loss.

Go canucks!

I'm a fan of both teams,it was pretty obvious Crosby was going to score with that breakaway,I mean what was Bieksa thinking, shoving his foot onto the board, trying to act classy with his skill,Crosby is the worst person to give a breakaway too(other than Stamkos and Ovechkin),I was happy and sad to see him score,a part inside of me was sad because I'm a die hard Canucks fan,but Crosby is also my favorite player so it helped when he was the one that opened the scoring, otherwise after that it was quite the Penguins who held the control dominating over the Canucks. The Sedins got lucky with helping Hamhuis put one into the net to ruin Fluerys shootout(also another good point onto the night). I noticed that Fluery oftens jumps up to the puck, and its pretty obvious that his gloving skills aren't upto date.

All in all,it was a decent effort from the Canucks but the Penguins came out on top.

Bad luck on both counts, to have that happen just as Crosby came out of the box, and to have a righthanded player at the point so his stick is on the wrong side. I think it was just too quick for him to adjust.

Good win tonight for the Canucks against the Ducks. Kesler with just a few seconds remaining, gets roughed up,makes a bad angle turning shot with his blade and somehow Hiller cannot stop it(although Keslers shootout attempt gave me a chuckle). Hiller was originally the backup of tonights game but a puck hit tonights starting goaltender near the eye, apparently(the puck hit the mask, came to Daniel, and he scored). Went down bleeding, that's where Hiller came up. Shootout was to be honest lucky for the Canucks.I think 1/3 shots Luongo actually saved and two missed. Jeff scored first(which was eventually the shootout winner). Keslers move was decent, but he missed the puck when he stopped and shot. Then,Daniel also stopped and went backhand, but a sprawling Hiller turned him away. In the end it was a good game. Next up Stamkos on December 11,Naslunds jersey gets retired,on CBC. Should be interesting to watch.

Hey everyone. I've missed the forums these days. Time is not on my side however I've not missed many games this year on the tube. I sure enjoy the Center Ice package.

Just awesome to see the team come together so well this year. They're the best I've seen them ever I think. Their record is no accident.

The Flames are not the same group we've seen previously this year. I expect this to be a playoff type effort from Iggy and the gang. One must respect their climb from where to were at xmas to where they are today. They could be a real monster for whomever they face in the first round.

Here's to hoping they land somewhere above 8th...;)

I see today's line up card has Schnieds getting the nod once more. I like this call by V.

Tanev sure has impressed. And I didn't see much of Higgins after the first period against SJ but I liked how he went to the net when the time was right. Especially on that Salo goal. I think he's going to fit in real nice and could see him being one of those guys who has a big night on the score card when you most need it from a depth guy. Somewhat like Talbot a few years back when the Pens finished off the Wings in the final. That sort of thing.

Salo has looked just great; he's shown very little ill effect from his injury. Very impressive D man whom I hope this team re-signs for 2 more years. Say....2 mil per? 1.5....something in there. I've said it before and will again, Journeymen are critical to your Apprentices. It's no accident that half a year of Sundin led both Hank and Kes to the promise land of their careers. :beer

Anyway guys, I gotta fly.

Enjoy the game!
