ON the bright side he won't be playing for the LEafs either.
ON the bright side he won't be playing for the LEafs either.Komisarek is undergoing season ending shoulder surgery, so he will miss the Olympics.
Yup a very good game to watch, even if my team lost.Hell yea! That game was freakin awesome! Great game by the U.S.A. Kept it physical, played good defense against a very skilled team, and capitalized on our opportunities.
But I'm not gonna pretend those are the main reasons we won the game. Ryan Miller stood on his head and pretty much won it for us. The man is an animal and I can't describe how happy I am to have him on my side.
We gotta keep playing like this. I'm not gonna go as far to say as we're gonna win gold, but if we keep playing like this we have a much better shot at it than I thought we did a week ago.
And Canada could have played better, we still need to improve on our mistakes, but overall great game.
What an amazing win for the US. Glad I taped this game. Seemed like the US were willing to do whatever it took to win the game and CAN didn't. Great game. CAN needs more grit and better goaltending to have any chance of winning a gold.
What tournament are you watching?????Hope Slovakia can take Russia down.
Must be planned for Saturday when both teams are done playing hockey.maybe the Slovak's and Russia are having a golf tournament?
Let's hope so! :bthaha, something tells me Finland might have to hop on a plane and get in that one.
No you didn't. You posted it today.made that post earlier before that game.
OK.oh ok i mean't that i hope sloivaks take down canada
I just thought Halak was about the hottest goalie going in, and with Chara to help on the backend and guys like Gaborik and Hossa to provide a goal or two I liked their chanceslol my picks were Russia, Sweden, Canada. shows what I know about olympic hockey.
Who was hotter? HE had been playing some amazing goal for the Habs.LMao? Halak the hottest goalie cumming in?
F**K the NHL stats on this one.The statistics say otherwise.
Vokoun had a .924 SV% in his last five games played.
Kiprusoff had a .922 SV% in his last five games played.
Lundqvist had a .918 SV% in his last five games played.
Miller had a .912 SV% in his last five games played.
Luongo had a .906 SV% in his last five games played.
Hiller had a .904 SV% in his last five games played.
Halak had a .873 SV% in his last five games played.
Brodeur had a .864 SV% in his last five games played.
This basically gives you an idea of how good they have been in the month of February. Any further, and you're starting to add January games into it.
I'm gonna say that they were focussed on the Olympics, for those final 5 games. You haven't been wrong in your picks, but you were wrong with your statement that they were the hottest going into the tournament.![]()
Canada played it's best game when there was one line to key on defensively. Hopefully Getzlaf & co. will shut down the suddenly super-hot Kane.Key to this game is Miller, and I can't wait to see which was it goes. If Miller plays well, the Gold is USA's. If not, then barring a major performance from USA's forward-line, the Gold will go to the home-country.
It is games like what we have seen in this tournament that give a lot of weight to the argument that the NHL needs to contract to 20 or so teams.Such a great game all around, just sucks for me cause my dad was HELLA pissed.
Wanna borrow some SILVER polish????:cheeky4::cheeky4::laugh:and screw u!
HEy man I am kidding, if you are too please put some emoticons in your post or someone who doesn't know you are 11 might take offense.so ******* funny u canadien ******* bastard!
Even as a Canadian I have to agree. Toews, Getzlaf, Doughty, Perry... It seems unfair that this is another feather in Crosby's cap, and another spotlight moment for him after he was rather ineffective all tournament.Man, that was a tough one to go through. Sure did have it's up and downs. But in the end I really can't complain about a Silver with this team. Great effort by the USA boys. The only thing that makes me mad is WHY THE HELL DID IT HAVE TO BE CROSBY?!?!?!?!?!?! He didn't do anything all game, if we had to lose in ot I wish it would have been Toews he worked hard all tournament and all game.
I'm in this camp for sure. Happy for Crosby and the Gold medal, but it's sad that the entire Olympics are going to be defined in Canada by "his goal".
Does it not feel wrong that this moment of Success, was unfairly dropped in his lap?Exactly, there were so many guys that worked, and played better than him all tournament long. I would have had no problem with any of those guys scoring.
