BOUCHERVILLE, Wednesday, January 3, 2007 - The Quebec Major Junior Hockey League disciplinary committee today imposed suspensions to two players following games which were held over the week-end.

Victoriaville Tigres defenseman Erick Tremblay received an additional three-game suspension to the automatic one-game suspension he earned following a high-sticking incident which occurred against the Shawinigan Cataractes last Saturday.

Moreover, Saint John Sea Dogs defenseman David Stich received a four-game suspension for a cross-check to the head of a Lewiston MAINEiacs player in last Saturday's contest.

The decisions were rendered after viewing the videotapes of the incidents and consulting all concerned parties. The suspensions are in effect as of today.

In accordance with the QMJHL policy in the matter of disciplinary sanctions, the disciplinary committee will not be available for further comment.
