Trade Proposals

I have noticed on a few other hockey boards trade proposals are usually very popular and can create good discussions. So I thought I would start one here for anyone who has an idea for a trade to post it.
Just make sure your ideas are realistic and not to post one player being traded to a team for a bag of pucks.

For anyone who doesn't know what a trade proposal is an example is:

To Tampa:
Brent Seabrook

To Chicago:
Vaclav Prospal

I could definately see Murray going to San Jose but Stuart too?
I think Stuart will end up elsewhere, such as:

To Edmonton:
Brad Stuart

To Boston:
Joffrey Lupol
2nd Round Pick

I like it. Although I'm sure that Lupul will be tough to pry out of Edmonton's hands.
Forsberg - Nabokov

If he decides to lift his no trade clause;

To San Jose:
Peter Forsberg

To Philadelphia:
Evgeni Nabokov
Doug Murray or Rob Davison
A minor forward
1st and 3rd Round Draft Pick

Or a Montreal - Boston - San Jose trade;

To San Jose:
Sergei Samsonov

To Boston:
Evgeni Nabokov
1st Round Draft Pick (from San Jose)

To Montreal:
Brad Stuart
2nd Round Draft Pick (from Boston)

One can dream . . .

sens and edmonton

how about this for a trade edmonton needs a puck moving pp denfenseman and ottawa needs 1 more forward to fill in the lineup

To Edmonton:
joe corvo

To Ottawa:
Lupul or Torres

or if sens decide to keep corvo and trade with the blues for guerin, heres a good looking deal

To St.Louis:
Gerber
2nd round draft pick

To Ottawa:
Guerin
Legace

Are you crazy? St. Louis wouldn't trade Legace for Gerber.
why not

legace has been a bust for st.louis and gerber is turning the corner won 5 of his last 6 starts, hes back on track, plus st.louis wants to send their veterans to contenders
Yeah that really is a horrible trade for the Blues.
Legace has NOT been a bust. Since he's come back from injury he's almost single handedly turned the team around. He shut out Detroit a few days ago!
Considering the guys in front of him Legace has had a good past few months. He started the season shaky but like Quintessence said he was a huge part of the Blues playing so well last month.
ok

alright so what would be the right price for legace to be dealt
I don't see why St. Louis would want to trade him right now. He's the only good goalie they have. And I can't see any team showing any strong interest in him either based on his previous playoff experience.

A starting goalie in return probably. Legace is the closet thing to being safe in St. Louis only because there's no one in sight to take his job. But also you have him leaving with Guerin and no prospects or coming back, just a washed-up back up goalie and a second round pick.
another

another trade that seems doable is

To Blackhawks:
Rivet
Samsonov

To Canadians:
Aucoin
Smolinski

i dont see a need for any picks in this deal

or
To Canucks:
Ryder
Samsonov

To Montreal:
Morrison and a high pick and/or prospect

Edmonton (and especially Bergeron) are missing the big points that Pronger and Spacek brought to the team. There's a big question mark hanging over Corvo about his defensive ability, but the Oil could definately use him as a QB on the PP. I can see him ending up in Edmonton if the Sens are serious about dealing him. The only problem would be, what would Edmonton give up? The Sens would only trade for a player to help them in the playoffs and the Oilers aren't exactly selling right now as they're fighting for a playoff spot themselves. I can see Edmonton offering Lupul as he has been a disappointment this season, but they'd probably want a draft pick for him as well.
I think it's time to get Morrison out of Vancouver and everyone knows Samsonov wants out of Montreal, I'm not sure if the Canadiens would be willing to part with a gritty player like Ryder, but it looks like a do-able deal.
99% of these trades would never happen. They do not serve a purpose for the teams involved, the salary cap would get in the way, most of the players involved are untouchable, and/or the trades are lopsided.

Yeah but it's all for fun anyways. Care to give it a shot?
No, I hate rumors.

o.o I guess that explains why you're in the rumor thread...

On another note... The Avalanche are 10 points out of a playoff spot and are on pace to miss the playoffs for the first time since 1993-94. My question is, do you think they'll be sellers at the deadline and if so who do you think is up for grabs and who would want them?
