Mark Recchi to Carolina for prospects

Keith Carney to Vancouver for 5th round pick

Eric Weinrich to Vancouver for picks

Sean Brown to Vancouver for pick

Tyler Arnason to Ottawa for no namer

Jim Dowd acquired by Colorado

Dwayne Roloson traded to Edmonton for pick

Brendan Witt traded to Nashville for 1st round pick

Sandis Ozolinsh signed by New York Rangers

Anaheim lost a bunch of defensemen who were useful such as Ozolinsh and Carney. However, they gained Jeff Freisen, a good forward and fighter Sean O'Donnell. Minnesota got a good defensive unit and so did Vancouver. However, the team that got the best of the deadline were the Oilers I believe. Samsonov is highly skilled as is Roloson in the net. Carolina also got Recchi, another great addition to the best team in the league. What are your thoughts on the deadline?
