(CP) - The Baie-Comeau Drakkar staked their claim as the most prolific team in the QMJHL Thursday night - at the expense of the defensive-minded Halifax Mooseheads.

Francois Bouchard scored twice and added two assists to lead the Drakkar to a 7-2 thrashing of the Mooseheads.

Alexandre Picard-Hooper and Joakim Jensen also had two goals apiece for Baie-Comeau (13-5-1-2), which regained the league lead in goals with 112. The Drakkar came into the game tied with the Gatineau Olympiques for top spot.

Pierre-Cedrick Labrie chipped in with a goal and an assist as Baie-Comeau strung together seven straight goals between the first and second periods. Renaud Des Alliers and Benjamin Breault each added two assists.

In Thursday's other QMJHL game, it was:

Moncton 5, Chicoutimi 4 (OT).

At Halifax, Bryce Swan and Logan McMillan countered for the Mooseheads (11-8-1-1), who have lost two straight. Halifax entered the game having allowed the second-fewest goals against in the QMJHL.

Michael Dupont stopped 30 shots to earn the one-sided win for Baie-Comeau.

Jeremy Duchesne was pulled midway through the second period after allowing the fifth Drakkar goal. Roger Kennedy relieved him, and the duo combined to stop 23 shots for Halifax.

Wildcats 5, Sagueneens 4, OT

At Moncton, N.B., Christian Gaudet scored at 3:28 of overtime to propel the Wildcats to a win over Chicoutimi.

Defenceman Luc Bourdon had two goals and two assists in his first game for Moncton (14-8-0-1) since being returned to the QMJHL by the NHL's Vancouver Canucks. Matt Marquardt also had a pair of goals for the Wildcats.

David Desharnais and Nicolas Blanchard answered with two goals apiece for the Sagueneens (7-12-4-1).
