(Sports Network) - The Atlanta Thrashers hope to end a season-long five-game losing streak tonight at New Jersey's Continental Airlines Arena, where they will take on a Devils team they've enjoyed success against as of late.

Atlanta still stands atop the Southeast Division, but the club is in the midst of its longest slide since a seven-game spell from January 19-February 3 of last season.

The Thrashers have been outscored 23-6 during this current streak and are coming off a 6-0 pounding at the hands of the New York Islanders on Saturday. Rick DiPietro turned away 37 shots to record his second shutout of the season.

Johan Hedberg yielded all six goals on 32 shots for Atlanta, which still owns a solid 10-5-3 record on the road in 2006-07.

The Thrashers did win all four meetings with New Jersey last season, however, and have emerged victorious in each of their last three visits to Continental Airlines Arena.
