The Tampa Bay Lightning have acquired right wings Kyle Wanvig and Stephen Baby from the Atlanta Thrashers in exchange for defenseman Andy Delmore and right wing Andre Deveaux today, Executive Vice President and General Manager Jay Feaster announced.

Wanvig, a 6-foot-2, 210-pound native of Calgary, Alberta, has played in 64 career NHL games, all with the Minnesota Wild. He has scored five career goals with nine career assists including one power play goal. His best season came in 2005-06 when he appeared in 51 games with the Wild and scored four goals with 12 points

I grew up with Kyle and was hoping that this year in Atlanta would be a turning point for him to build on the year he had in Minnesota. Now let's see how Tampa uses this former WHL standout.
