(Sports Network) - The Atlanta Thrashers will try to stay on the winning track tonight, when they visit the Tampa Bay Lightning at St. Pete Times Forum.

The Thrashers halted a season-high four-game slide Wednesday night by posting a victory in Washington. Ilya Kovalchuk had a goal and an assist to lead Atlanta to the 4-2 win over the Capitals.

Glen Metropolit, Bobby Holik and Shane Hnidy each had a goal for the Thrashers, who pulled two points ahead of Carolina for first place in the Southeast Division. The defending Stanley Cup champion Hurricanes lost at the New York Islanders on Wednesday.

Johan Hedberg stopped 24 shots for Atlanta, which has won all four of its meetings with the Caps this year.

Tonight marks the end of a three-game road trip for the Thrashers, who are 7-3-2 as the visiting club.
