The Thrashers established two franchise records Wednesday. One was an individual mark, and the other was a team accomplishment that might be a sign of better things to come.

Goalie Kari Lehtonen's chance for a third consecutive shutout ended 5:14 into the second period, but he set a Thrashers record with a scoreless streak of 167 minutes, 56 seconds in a 4-1 victory over the Boston Bruins in front of 12,579 at Philips Arena. The win also helped the Thrashers get off to the best four-game start of their seven seasons.

Having earned seven of a possible eight points with a 3-0-1 start, the Thrashers bested their record of October 2003 when they started with two wins and two ties for six points. They still have a ways to go before they can equal that season's mark of seven games before their first regulation loss, a stretch that resulted in 11 points.
