The Minnesota Wild have seven wins and fifteen points in eight games to lead the Northwest Division early in the season. The only loss being an overtime loss. Any ideas as to why this team team has had such an amazing start to their season?

Niklas Backstrom has given this team really solid goaltending to ad to an already strong defensive system. However, the Wild's success really seems to depend on the health of Marian Gaborik.

Will the Gaborik injury bug strike this season ruining the Wild's Division title quest by mid season?

I still think there are some question marks on this team. Secondary scoring for one. Then again, they seem to have all the issues the Vancouver Canucks had going into last season expect a poor finish from the season before.

Are the Wild a division winner?
