OTTAWA -- The Ottawa Senators today recalled right-winger Danny Bois from the American Hockey League's Binghamton Senators on an emergency basis to play in his first NHL game tonight against the Washington Capitals at the Verizon Center.

He will replace captain Daniel Alfredsson, who suffered a lower body injury in the Senators 4-2 win over the New York Islanders on Tuesday.

Bois, a 23-year-old native of Thunder Bay, Ont., has eight goals, five assists and 36 penalty minutes over 17 games with Binghamton this season. He has nine points (6 goals and 3 assists) in the last eight games. Bois missed six games because of a face laceration.

After a four-year junior career with the Ontario Hockey League's London Knights, Bois signed with the Senators as a free agent in April 2004. In three professional seasons in Ottawa's organization, he has 68 points (42 goals and 26 assists) and 547 penalty minutes over 168 AHL games. He was originally drafted by Colorado in the third round, 97th overall, in the 2001 NHL draft.
