The vintage outfits will be worn for five home games this season against Canadian opponents, including the home opener October 1 versus the Canucks, as well as October 6 versus the Canadiens, January 2 versus the Maple Leafs, January 30 versus the Oilers, and March 11 versus the Senators.

As much as I liked the old jersey I'm very disapointed in CEO Ken King and the entire Flames organization.
:n:thumbsdow

Why not go a different direction like they did with the horse?

Personally, I like it. They're using the retro jersey because it's their 30th Anniversary and want to give a nod to their past. The Oilers and Islanders retro third jerseys are quite nice as well - and who knows, this could only be for this season.:dunno:
Don't get me wrong I think they are ok but I was expecting something new. I might grow on me after a few months, we will see.

My advise: Never expect anything new in an Anniversary year. If they go a different direction, cool, but 90% of the time, they go with a retro themed jersey.

Nothing I've read has suggested that this is their permanent third jersey. They could introduce whatever you wanted next year.

I did hear it was only for this season..
Hope it's true!
