So after a year of waiting (pandemic) the Minnesota Wild and St. Louis Blues finally get on the ice -- cold ice. Amazing to see all the preparation that went into making the environment as good as it could be: insulated tarps for the ice, extra hot drinks and foods at the concessions, handwarmers handed out to people as they entered Target Field.

As a Wild fan, this was a bad game. Yeah, three of the Wild's best were out of action. The team had too many days off from games (though I don't know why that didn't allow for extra practices, the lack of which was the explanation for some of the previous strings of losses). But that's not to take away anything from the Blues, who displayed a swagger that lasted most of the game and that showed why they're at the top of the Central Division.

Thoughts? What did the cold and the spotlights show as the most needed fixes for both teams?
