Sutter scores twice as Rebels beat Broncos 6-1 in ugly affair

SWIFT CURRENT, Sask. (CP) - Brett Sutter scored a pair of goals to lead the Red Deer Rebels to a 6-1 win over the Swift Current Broncos in Western Hockey League action Wednesday.

The Rebels completed a four-game season sweep of the Broncos with the win. Scott Doucet, Evan Pighin, Dustin Moore, and Kirill Starkov also scored for Red Deer (26-20-3-4).

Red Deer goaltender James Reimer was 31 seconds away from a shutout when he allowed a power-play goal by Swift Current's Zack Smith.

Reimer posted his 19th win of the season by stopping 30 of 31 shots.

Swift Current starting goaltender Kyle Moir gave up five goals on 17 shots in 33:51 of action. Travis Yonkman played the final 26:09 and yielded one goal on six shots.
