(Sports Network) - A pair of rivals headed in opposite directions meet tonight at Madison Square Garden, as the streaking Rangers host the sliding Islanders.

The Rangers have won four straight games and are coming off Saturday's triumph in Montreal. Matt Cullen scored two goals, including the game-winner, to help the Blueshirts earn the 4-3 victory over the Canadiens.

Martin Straka and Michal Rozsival each added a goal and an assist for the Rangers, who have 48 points and trail New Jersey by six for first place in the Atlantic Division.

Henrik Lundqvist finished with 21 saves for the Rangers.

Jaromir Jagr, the Rangers leading scorer with 54 points, left Saturday's game with a groin problem and is questionable for tonight's test.

Tonight marks the first of three straight at MSG for the Rangers, who are 9-7-3 on home ice this year.

Meanwhile, the Islanders have dropped six straight games and are 0-2 so far on a four-game road trip. They were handed a setback Saturday in Carolina, as the Hurricanes rode Erik Cole's two second-period goals to a 4-2 win.
