(Sports Network) - The New York Islanders can match their longest win streak of the season tonight, as they take on the Ottawa Senators at Scotiabank Place.

The Isles have won back-to-back games and a victory this evening would give them their third three-game winning stretch of the season. They were last in action Tuesday night and earned a shutout victory over their crosstown rivals, the New York Rangers.

Rick DiPietro had a standout performance in net for the Islanders, stopping all 28 shots he faced to guide his team past the Rangers, 2-0, at Nassau Coliseum.

Arron Asham netted the deciding goal and Jason Blake added some insurance for the Islanders, who have won four of their last five contests.

The win vaulted the Isles ahead of the Rangers in the Atlantic Division standings. New Jersey leads the Atlantic with 43 points, the Isles have 41 and the Rangers are in third place with 40 points.

Meanwhile, the Senators will try to build on Saturday's victory over the Philadelphia Flyers. Daniel Alfredsson scored two of Ottawa's three goals in the third period, as the Senators eased to the 6-3 triumph over the struggling Flyers at the Wachovia Center.
