(Sports Network) - The Buffalo Sabres return home tonight when they welcome the Florida Panthers to HSBC Arena.

Buffalo is fresh off a five-game road trip that saw the team go 3-2-0. They finished the trek with consecutive wins over Montreal and New Jersey.

On Tuesday, Ryan Miller made 31 saves as the Sabres downed the Devils, 3-2, at Continental Airlines Arena.

Daniel Briere had three assists for the Sabres, who have won seven of their last 10 games overall. Jochen Hecht, Maxim Afinogenov and Jason Pominville all scored goals for Buffalo.

The Sabres were without co-captain Chris Drury, who missed the match with the flu. Drury is expected to play tonight, as is defenseman Teppo Numminen (broken toe).

Buffalo opens a three-game homestand tonight and will host Ottawa on Saturday.

Florida, meanwhile, has lost three consecutive games. On Tuesday the Panthers dropped a 5-4 tilt to visiting Anaheim, as Chris Pronger scored two goals, including the game-winner.
