(Sports Network) - The red-hot Dallas Stars shoot for their fourth straight win this evening when they resume a four-game homestand against the Detroit Red Wings at American Airlines Center.

Dallas is an impressive 8-1-0 this season and defeated Vancouver on Monday for its third consecutive victory. Mike Modano was the hero in the 2-1 triumph, as he netted the game-winner on the power play midway through the third period.

Goaltender Marty Turco stopped 33 of the 34 shots he faced. After allowing the game's first goal Turco turned aside the next eight Vancouver shots in the first stanza, 10 in the second and 15 in the third for his seventh victory of the season.

Niklas Hagman also lit the lamp for the Stars and Eric Lindros tallied his sixth assist of the year.

Meanwhile, the Red Wings ended a three-game losing streak with Wednesday's 2-1 triumph over the San Jose Sharks.
