(Sports Network) - The San Jose Sharks will aim for their fourth consecutive victory this evening, when they open the doors of HP Pavilion for the Phoenix Coyotes.

The Sharks are 6-1-0 in their last seven games and are coming off Monday's win over the Colorado Avalanche. Patrick Marleau notched a goal and two assists to help San Jose earn the 3-1 home triumph.

Jonathan Cheechoo and Joe Thornton each notched a goal and an assist while Evgeni Nabokov stopped 26 shots for the Sharks, who have 62 points and trail Anaheim by six for the top spot in the Pacific Division.

Tonight marks the middle segment of a three-game homestand for San Jose, which is 16-8-0 at the Shark Tank this year.

The Coyotes have dropped three of their last four games and were handed a 4-3 setback in Colorado on Wednesday. Paul Stastny scored twice, Milan Hejduk posted a goal and two assists, and Tyler Arnason finished with three helpers as the Avalanche held on to beat Phoenix, 4-3.
