(Sports Network) - The Toronto Maple Leafs will try to match their longest winning streak of the season tonight, when they host the Florida Panthers at Air Canada Centre.

Toronto has won its last three games and is just one victory from matching the previous season high set from November 4-11.

The Leafs put an exclamation point on their latest triumph, as they pounded the visiting New York Rangers, 9-2, on Saturday.

Kyle Wellwood and Alexei Ponikarovsky both had career nights, posting five points apiece, and a total of 13 of 18 dressed players for Toronto had at least one point on the night. It was Toronto's highest goal output since a 9-6 win over the New York Islanders on December 19, 2005.

Wellwood notched his first career hat trick and added two assists, and Ponikarovsky tallied two goals and three assists for the Leafs, whose current win streak has come on the heels of a seven-game slide. They have outscored the opposition 19-9 in the last three outings and have scored seven power play goals in their last 17 opportunities.

Mats Sundin also added three assists for Toronto on Saturday and Andrew Raycroft made 11 saves while facing just 13 shots.
