LETHBRIDGE, Alta. (CP) - Steve DaSilva scored twice to lead the Kootenay Ice to a 5-1 over the Lethbridge Hurricanes, in Western Hockey League action Thursday.

Kootenay (23-10-2-2) broke it open with three unanswered second period goals, breaking a 1-1 tie and winning in Lethbridge for the first time this season. Ben Maxwell, Clayton Bauer and Trent Fussi also had goals for the Ice, while Taylor Dakers made 23 saves. Lethbridge (18-17-2-2) saw its 10-game home ice win streak snapped with the loss. Kris Hogg had the lone Hurricane goal, his 26th of the year.
