(Sports Network) - The Dallas Stars try to equal the best start in franchise history tonight when they visit the San Jose Sharks at HP Pavilion.

Dallas is 5-0, and can match the mark of six straight wins posted by the 1996-97 club to open the season.

On Sunday, Jussi Jokinen scored the game-winning goal in a shootout to lift the Stars over the Anaheim Ducks, 4-3, at the Honda Center.

Sergei Zubov, Niklas Hagman and Antti Miettinen each scored for the Stars, while Marty Turco stopped 36 of the 39 shots he faced in regulation. Turco did allow the game-tying goal to Anaheim's Andy McDonald with only 19 seconds left in the third period.

Turco was named one of the NHL's Three Stars of the Week on Monday, taking home first honors. The netminder has started in every game so far, while posting a 1.56 goals-against average and .948 save percentage.

The Stars have managed their last three wins over division opponents, as they preceded Sunday's victory with a pair of victories against Los Angeles.

Dallas will host Chicago on Sunday.
