(Sports Network) - Dallas made a statement this past week when they swept a pair of road games against the San Jose Sharks. Even more impressive for Dallas was that the two games were played over a three-day span.

The Stars trail both the Sharks and the Anaheim Ducks in the Pacific division and sit sixth overall in the West. However, the two wins allowed Dallas to make up three points on the Sharks -- they won the first came by shootout -- and the club trails San Jose by just three points for second in the division.

Dallas has 64 points on the year, eight behind the Ducks.

Defender Philippe Boucher continues to provide a spark to the Stars' offense. Boucher has six goals and 12 assists in his last 20 games and is the only defenseman in the league to be leading his team in points (36).

The 33-year-old defenseman has 14 goals on the year, just two shy of his career high and second in the league among defenders. He was rewarded this season with his first All-Star Game appearance.
