(Sports Network) - The Anaheim Ducks have been the toast of the Pacific Division so far, but the Dallas Stars are doing a nice job of keeping pace.

The Ducks didn't lose a regulation game until Friday evening and lead the Pacific with 28 points. However, the Stars haven't dropped too far behind and are tied with San Jose for second in the division with 24 points.

Dallas has been successful in close games this season, picking up seven of its 12 wins this season by just one goal. The Stars earned one of these tight victories on Thursday, as they blanked the Phoenix Coyotes, 1-0, at Arena.

Marty Turco needed only 13 saves to post his 25th career shutout in Thursday's contest.
