Windsor Spitfires' fans applauded the Memorial Cup Champions Tuesday evening, both inside and outside the WFCU Centre.

Hundreds of fans lined Lauzon Road as the players, coaches and office staff passed along on their way to the WFCU Centre. Goaltenders Andrew Engelage and Josh Unice led the way with the Memorial Cup trophy in their car while Taylor Hall sat with the Memorial Cup MVP trophy he was awarded. Overage defenceman Rob Kwiet and forward Justin Shugg sat with the OHL Championship trophy in their car. General Manager Warren Rychel along with coaches Bob Boughner, Bob Jones, DJ Smith, Mark Turner and Bill Dark road in the procession as well, waving and smiling to cheering Spitfires fans.

Inside the arena, thousands of fans waited to welcome their team back from Rimouski, having won the National Championship. Fans lined up to get autographs and pictures of their favourite Spitfires, plus pictures with the various OHL trophies including the OHL Championship Trophy and the Memorial Cup. It was a chance to celebrate with friends, fellow fans, and a team that has brought greatness to the city.
