Obviously the Oilers have had to deal with a lot of injuries, but I was wondering what else you think contributed to their lack of a good season.
Thats pretty easy, inconsistant play both in the defensive and offensive ends. Constant give aways and more often then not in their own zone or @ center ice.

I can agree with that, and I also know that they have a lot of small forwards and would really benefit from a big guy. But I'm wondering who you think isn't pulling their own weight. I should have said that in my first comment.

Well injuries did really cause this disaster, its also because the uninjured guys didnt step up. It took Cogs 60+ games to really get going, Moreau was taking dumb penalties, JDD and DD gave some softies (though that could be because inexperience), Horcoff had more bad games than good games.
