(Sports Network) - The New Jersey Devils will attempt to get back on track tonight when the struggling club returns home to host the Florida Panthers at Continental Airlines Arena.

New Jersey has dropped three consecutive games and four of its last five following a 3-1 start to the year. The Devils were throttled in Ottawa by an 8-1 count on Saturday, then came up on the short end of a 4-2 decision at Pittsburgh two days later.

Scott Gomez and Sergei Brylin each had a goal and Martin Brodeur made 21 saves for the Devils, who went 0-for-6 on the power play and have converted just 1- of-26 chances with the man advantage over their last five games.

Florida began a three-game stretch against New York-area teams last night at Madison Square Garden, with Jozef Stumpel netting a pair of goals to lead the Panthers to a 4-2 victory over the Rangers.

Gregory Campbell and Juraj Kolnik also scored for the Panthers, who stopped a two-game losing streak and won at the Garden for the first time since March 10, 2003. Jay Bouwmeester added a pair of assists.
