(Sports Network) - The Washington Capitals try to put the brakes on a six-game slide tonight when they visit the Tampa Bay Lightning at the St. Pete Times Forum.

The Caps are 0-4-2 during the streak, including Saturday's 4-1 loss to the host NY Islanders. Jason Blake had two goals and Rick DiPietro made 33 saves to lift the Isles.

Alexander Ovechkin's 15th goal of the season was the lone tally for the slumping Capitals, while Olaf Kolzig yielded three tallies on 29 shots.

The Caps' slump comes after a span that had them win four-of-five.

Ovechkin has tallied three goals in his last four games.

The Capitals will open a four-game homestand on Friday against Dallas.
