(Sports Network) - The Detroit Red Wings will attempt to put the brakes on a three-game losing streak when the slumping club returns home to face the Colorado Avalanche in a Sunday matinee from Joe Louis Louis.

The Wings dropped back-to-back road tilts prior to the All-Star break, including a 3-1 setback to the Avalanche on January 20. Following the stoppage, Detroit was ousted by the red-hot St. Louis Blues Friday at the Scottrade Center.

Bill Guerin scored 1:09 into the overtime session to give the Blues a 2-1 victory that ended an 11-game unbeaten streak for the Red Wings in St. Louis.

Johan Franzen had the only Detroit goal and Chris Osgood ended with 18 saves subbing for No. 1 goaltender Dominik Hasek, who did not dress because of the flu. The Red Wings were also without forwards Kris Draper and Robert Lang for Friday's matchup because of sickness.

Osgood suffered a broken finger on his right hand during the contest, which may make him unavailable for today's contest. Hasek is also questionable to return, while Draper and Lang are both likely to be back in the lineup this afternoon.

Detroit, which has mustered just three goals during its current slide, owns an outstanding 17-3-3 mark at home on the season.
