(Sports Network) - The Atlanta Thrashers will try to snap a three-game losing streak when they visit the Montreal Canadiens at the Bell Centre this evening.

The Thrashers were dealt their latest setback Friday night by the Dallas Stars. Mike Ribeiro scored a pair of goals to guide the Stars past Atlanta, 5-3, at Philips Arena.

Steve Rucchin, Glen Metropolit and Marian Hossa all scored for Atlanta. Kari Lehtonen allowed three goals on seven shots before being replaced by Johan Hedberg, who made 13 saves.

The Thrashers opened up the scoring just 42 seconds in, as Rucchin took a feed from Ilya Kovalchuk in front and wristed it past Turco. However, Dallas erupted for four straight goals to take command.

Atlanta has 27 points and is still in first place in the Southeast Division, but Carolina is just two points back.
