COLUMBUS, Ohio (AP) -- Center Alexander Svitov, vying for playing time on one of the Columbus Blue Jackets' top lines, will miss the next two to three weeks with a shoulder injury.
The club said Monday that Svitov will join another Russian center, Sergei Fedorov, who also is on the injured list with a shoulder injury. Svitov was hurt in Sunday night's 4-2 preseason win over Carolina.
The Blue Jackets also cut their camp roster to 36 by reassigning nine players.
