He takes the young guys under his wing and shows them the ropes, he's got a ton of experience in the NHL and is willing to do anything for his team - he's coming to training camp after having a surgery that was supposed to keep him out for six months. He's not the best player on the Sabres, but he's their best option as Captain.
Because I don't think he's the right captain material for the Sabres right now. He doesn't even produce (even though he's a defense-men). If there's going to be a captain that's a D-man on the Sabres, i would most likely give it to Myers. He would be the closet one.
According to several reports, looks like the Sabres and the Amerks may reunite.
Rochester D&C story
This would be great news for both Sabres and Amerks fans. The previous union broke up as the Sabres(who didn't own the Amerks) wouldn't pay for the players in the minors. So the team was stocked...
I had a chance to sit down and talk with Marcus Foligno about his father and brother's legacy, his mother who past away, and what he plans to do if he scores his first NHL goal.
Take a look.
