(Sports Network) - The injury-riddled Dallas Stars wrap up a four-game homestand tonight, as the surging Calgary Flames invade the American Airlines Center for a key Western Conference matchup.
Dallas began this home stretch with consecutive losses and had dropped three in a row overall before Monday's 3-1 triumph over the lowly Los Angeles Kings. Mike Ribeiro assisted on two of the Stars' goals and Marty Turco stopped 20 of 21 shots in the win.
Stu Barnes, Niklas Hagman and Trevor Daley all lit the lamp for Dallas, which has won all six meetings with Los Angeles this season.
The victory did come with a price, however, as All-Star defenseman Philippe Boucher left the contest in the first period with a chest injury and is questionable to play tonight. Also, center Jeff Halpern was scratched after straining his groin in pregame warmups and may not be available for the Stars as well.
Dallas is already missing a number of regulars due to injury, including standout forwards Mike Modano and Brenden Morrow and defenseman Sergei Zubov.
The Stars are 14-8-0 at home this season and have enjoyed great recent success as the host in this series. Calgary has lost four straight in Dallas and is winless (five losses, one tie) in its last six visits to the American Airlines Center.
