(Sports Network) - The San Jose Sharks finish up a five-game road trip tonight when they visit the Florida Panthers at the BankAtlantic Center.

San Jose is 2-2-0 so far on the trek, including Sunday's 4-2 win over Tampa Bay. Evgeni Nabokov stopped 18 shots in net to anchor the victory.

Joe Thornton scored a first period power-play goal, his first tally of the season. Ryane Clowe, Mike Grier and Patrick Marleau also tallied for San Jose, which ended a two-game losing slide.

The Sharks were 2-for-3 on the power play and lead the NHL with a 28 percent clip with the man-advantage this season (21-for-75).

While Thornton, last season's Hart Trophy winner, has only one goal, his 13 assists are tied for second in the league.

San Jose will host the NY Rangers on Thursday to begin a three-game homestand.

Florida, meanwhile, has lost two straight and four of its last five games. On Saturday the Panthers dropped a 4-3 shootout tilt at the Islanders, as Andy Hilbert scored in the 10th round of the SO to provide the difference.
