(Sports Network) - The San Jose Sharks aim for their third consecutive victory tonight, when they visit the Los Angeles Kings at Staples Center.

The Sharks earned an easy win Monday night, as they downed the visiting Phoenix Coyotes, 4-0. Vesa Toskala stopped 23 shots for his third shutout of the season to lead San Jose at HP Pavilion.

Milan Michalek had a goal and an assist and Patrick Marleau and Joe Thornton each finished with three assists for the Sharks, who have won seven of their last nine games.

San Jose has 44 points, but still trails Anaheim by eight points for the Pacific Division and Western Conference lead.

The Kings were in action Saturday night and earned a close victory over the visiting Colorado Avalanche. Craig Conroy tallied the game-winner with 6:12 left in regulation to lift Los Angeles to the 5-4 comeback win at the Staples Center.

Trailing 4-3 in the third period, Los Angeles tied the game on a wrist shot by Scott Thornton from the slot at the 10:22 mark. Then, three minutes, 26 seconds later, Conroy received a pass from Jeff Cowan from the left side and pushed the disk through the pads of Jose Theodore for the go-ahead goal.
