(Sports Network) - The San Jose Sharks seek their fifth straight win tonight when they visit the Detroit Red Wings at Joe Louis Arena.

San Jose has won 10 of its last 12 games, including Wednesday's 2-1 decision in Minnesota. Joe Pavelski and Steve Bernier each scored a goal to spark the Sharks to the road win.

Evgeni Nabokov made 15 saves for the Sharks, who have played the first two portions of a four-game road trip.

The Sharks did fail in their bid to post three consecutive shutouts, as they had blanked New Jersey and St. Louis in the previous two contests.

On the injury front, the Sharks are expected to welcome winger Jonathan Cheechoo back to the lineup after he missed five games with a leg injury. Cheechoo will likely re-form the dynamic first-line duo with center Joe Thornton.

San Jose will finish its current trek on Monday in Dallas.

Detroit, meanwhile, has won two straight on the heels of an 0-3-2 slide. On Friday, Dominik Hasek stopped all 20 shots faced for his fourth shutout of the season as Red Wings defeated Minnesota, 3-0, at Xcel Energy Center.
