(Sports Network) - The San Jose Sharks will try to rebound from just their third loss of the season when they visit the Nashville Predators tonight at Gaylord Entertainment Center.

The Sharks are 7-3-0 on the year and were handed a setback Wednesday evening in Detroit. Robert Lang's third goal of the season midway through the third period helped lift the Red Wings to a 2-1 victory.

Evgeni Nabokov stood tall in the net, stopping 37 shots for the Sharks in a losing effort. Steve Bernier scored his fourth of the year. Milan Michalek and Kyle McLaren were the only other Sharks to register a point.

San Jose is a dismal 2-23-1 in Detroit since entering the league in 1991.

Sharks center Joe Thornton, last year's Art Ross and Hart Trophy winner, was held off the scoresheet in Motown and has just one point in his last three games. Thornton has 10 assists on the year, but has yet to score a goal.

The Predators were last in action on Saturday and dropped an overtime decision to Vancouver. Lukas Krajicek's goal 2:32 into the extra session lifted the Canucks past Nashville, 4-3.
