(Sports Network) - The San Jose Sharks will try to keep their win streak intact as they head into the All-Star break when the St. Louis Blues pay a visit to HP Pavilion tonight.

San Jose has put some heat on the slumping Anaheim Ducks in the Pacific Division by winning seven of its last eight games, including four in a row. The Sharks collected another victory on Thursday, as both Ryane Clowe and Patrick Marleau had a goal and two assists to fuel a 5-2 decision over visiting Phoenix.

Joe Thornton added a goal and an assist for San Jose, which also received 23 saves in goal out of Vesa Toskala.

Both Toskala and Evgeni Nabokov have been sharp during the Sharks' current streak, as San Jose has allowed just six goals over the four victories.

Clowe has been on a tear as well, as the rookie has racked up nine goals and three assists in seven games since returning from a groin injury that sidelined him for more than a month.

Jonathan Cheechoo enters tonight's contest on an eight-game point streak (5 goals, 7 assists) after registering an assist in Thursday's win.

San Jose will end a three-game homestand this evening and is a strong 17-8-0 at the Shark Tank this season.

The Sharks have also dominated their series with St. Louis in recent years. San Jose has won four straight and seven of the last eight encounters between the teams, including a pair of matchups already this season.

The Blues have also been playing good hockey as of late, however. St. Louis is 5-0-1 over its last six games and is coming off road wins over both Anaheim and Los Angeles on this current trip.
