SAN JOSE, Calif. (AP) -Right wing Milan Michalek was scratched from the San Jose Sharks' lineup against Los Angeles on Wednesday night with a left arm injury.
Michalek, a second-year pro in the midst of a breakout offensive season, was injured in the third period of the Sharks' 5-0 loss at Anaheim on Tuesday night. His stick became lodged against the boards while chasing the puck, bending his arm awkwardly.
Michalek was tied with MVP Joe Thornton as the Sharks' second-leading scorer with 23 points in 22 games, and his nine goals were second to captain Patrick Marleau's 12.
